Hi! I’m Jill!
Web content writer, and mom of 3 boys. Yes – 3! It’s okay, don’t feel bad for me – I love it!
Being a copywriter is something I can do from home and still be available whenever my tribe needs me.
It gives me the freedom to work from home and still be able to cater to all my family's needs.
I’m a versatile, creative writer who is naturally inquisitive and curious.
I stay healthy by teaching tough (but always fun) Jazzercise classes, and I love helping my workout customers improve their overall fitness, strength, and posture.
I love to sing as a vocalist in my church’s praise band. It truly makes me smile!
I have worked in many areas over the years; from an outdoor center to a bank and post office, from a Candy Bouquet store to a garden center and summer camp, from hotel room service to becoming a crochet and knitwear designer and building my own website about crochet and felting.
It means I have vast experience of working in service industries and I understand the needs of many different types of customers, since I’ve been one and have catered to so many.
It also means that I have lots of interests, love research and learning, and can turn my hand to pretty much anything.
If there’s something I don’t know, you can be sure I’ll be asking, learning, and finding it out!
What I do now is use my previous knowledge of various customers needs and apply it to being a copywriter.
My web content writer training is through American Writers & Artists Institute (AWAI) – the best copywriting trainers in the business.
I’ve been writing web content since 2007 when I became a knitwear and crochet designer.
I’ve designed, written, and published knit and crochet patterns (technical writing) for many magazines and yarn companies: Vogue Knitting International, Knit ‘n’ Style, Creative Knitting, Knit.1, Interweave Crochet, Crochet! Magazine, KnitPicks, Classic Elite, Universal YarnCo., and more.
Pattern writing demands accuracy and precision for great results, regular email contact with the company staff, and meeting solid deadlines.
I’ve always loved words and writing! It’s a way to reach people on a whole other level.
Writing has always been an important skill, but now it’s become even more so these days with all businesses needing some kind of web presence to even be noticed.
The age of the cell phone has brought with it the ability to search ‘on the go’ using a hand held computer. There’s never been a more important time to make your business stand apart online, and the best way to do that is to find the right web content writer for your business.
You simply don’t have time to do it all.
